Shauna McGauran
Founder & Dance Teacher
My name is Shauna McGauran and I began Irish dancing at the age of 4, following in the footsteps of my mother and grandmother who both danced.

I danced with Hunter School in Dublin where I achieved as high as 2nd place at the World Championships, top 5 in Leinster Championships, and gained the title of Dublin Champion.

I performed with the Jameson Irish Dance troupe for a number of years while I was studying for my degree, Analytical Science, at Dublin City University. Here, I danced for tourists and corporate events at the Shindig Nights in the distillery in Smithfield, Dublin.

I qualified as a TCRG (qualification for an Irish Dance Teacher) in 2017 and subsequently, set up Shauna McGauran School of Irish Dance.

I now work as a Radiochemist at Blackrock Clinic during the day, and spend most evenings teaching Irish Dancing.
My favourite part about teaching is seeing children improve, work hard and reaching their goals. I also love getting the opportunity for the school to perform at various local events.
